Good news!

There will be only one more reporting period using the current version of PIRT.

From the first half of 2009 we will be moving to a web-based delivery platform - PIRT Online. More information will be distributed on how to access and use the new version of PIRT in due course. In the meantime we are interested in recruiting some members to participate in a pilot test of PIRT online for the second half of 2008 due for submission by the 28th of February 2009.

If you are interested in trialing PIRT Online for 2nd half 2008 please send an email to pos@achs.org.au or hstark@achs.org.au

Small revisions have been made to Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Oral Health Clinical Indicator Users’ manuals. You can download the updated manuals from the CI Downloads 2008. Username and password will be required.

Updated PIRT Help File

An error has been found in the online help file for the Hospital Wide Indicator Set within PIRT Version 1.4. The pdf version of the manual (also on the CD-ROM) and the electronic copy available from the ACHS website did not contain this error and have always been correct. Organisations submit Hospital-Wide Indicators may want to download the file.

Please click here to download and save the updated version of the PIRT help file onto your computer, then unzip and copy the file into the drive and folder where the PIRT program (PIRT.exe) is installed. By Default, it is located in C:\Program Files\PIRT

The corrected help file will replace any older version of the file when promoted and be displayed when entering or viewing data for the 2008 collection periods and clicking the Clinical Indicator Users’ Manual link within PIRT.

Please note: This update assumes PIRT version 1.4 (which included the 2008 indicator Set updates) has been installed, or an earlier version has been upgraded to PIRT 1.4 and the 2008 version of the Indicator Set Update has been installed.
