EQuIP for a full range of health care organisations
The Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program is generically designed to provide for all types of organisations which provide health care. These include:
· acute or long term hospital services- it is possible to have a single hospital as a member or several hospitals linked into a single membership. Larger memberships are required to be linked under the same management and have the same overall policies and procedures.
· day procedure services.
· domiciliary / community / population health services-
· specialist care services such as palliative care, mental health services, pain services, methadone services etc.
· rural and remote health services
· area / district / network / clustered comprehensive services.- If the service is to be a single EQuIP member, it must be a structural entity with a single overall management structure and of "surveyable" size and complexity. The relevant 'Customer Services Manager' can provide further information.
EQuIP membership could be:
· sole owners or partnerships
· government agencies
· community and charitable bodies
· private commercial entities
To assist EQuIP members, numerous resources have been developed and these are provided free to EQuIP members via the ACHS website or can be purchased.
There are currently over 800 EQuIP members which include many organisations from each of the above categories and this gives opportunities for linking with other similar organisations for benchmarking or other sharing of information.
