Quality for Divisions Network (QDN)
The ACHS Quality Divisions of Network (QDN) quality program is a management tool for Divisions and State Based Organisations (SBOs) to assist an organisation to meet the needs of members’ and stakeholders’ and evaluate its outcomes. The QDN can also assist in assuring members, stakeholders and the community that an organisation operates according to industry standards.
Benefits of the QDN program may include opportunities to:
· establish a strong infrastructure to support the delivery of quality, member-focused services
· develop strong leadership
· focus on members and stakeholders
· focus on outcomes
· establish a culture of continuous improvement
· strive for best practice
· provide assurance to funders that programs are being provided in an effective and cost-efficient manner.
The ACHS Quality for Divisions Network standards have been approved by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing and are the only standards specifically developed for Divisions of General Practice.
The ACHS Quality for Divisions Network Guide, 1st edition, August 2006 (revised 2008) provides a guide to Divisions and State Based Organisations (SBO) in the delivery of member-focused quality services and programs.
