Why did you select to undertake accreditation with ACHSI?

ACHSI is a renowned agency under ISQua (the International Society for Quality in Health Care) and has accredited many hospitals. Moreover I found them genuine and more approachable.

What has been the most worthwhile aspect of participating in ACHSI Accreditation?

KIMS has become more acceptable of foreign patients. Our credibility as a health care provider emphasising quality health care has increased several fold. Our staff are too, more confident as accreditation increased their prospects and opportunities. Our patients are also now more confident to choose KIMS as we have a proven and established clinical standard based on quality.

What has been the biggest impact in your organisation?

Stave empowerment and awareness on various aspects of quality with special relevance to safety, Risk Management and TQM (Total Quality Management). We were also successful in developing a culture of data driven decision making.

Why do you believe accreditation is important?

Benchmarking of service and recognition by an independent organisation instills more confidence and acceptance.

Do you have any comments regarding ACHSI, the accreditation process or the ACHSI surveyors?

ACHSI has evolved as a matured accreditation system since its inception in 1974. The standards are well drafted and comparable to any other international standards.

We have praises for the accreditation process and surveyors who were very considerate and have taken the pain to know the systems in India.
