The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care is a government agency which was established by the Commonwealth, with the support of State and Territory government, to lead and coordinate national improvements in safety and quality in health care across Australia.

The Commission has a number of programs , publications and resources to support heathcare professionals, heathcare organisations and heathcare policy makers, working with patients and carers, to deliver safe and quality health care across Australia, including the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, Clinical Communications, Healthcare Associated Infection, Medication Safety, Patient and Consumer Cantered Care, Open Disclosure and Recognising and Responding to Clinical Deterioration.
