Aged Care - Open Disclosure

It is essential that all aged care providers understand their obligations with respect to the current Open Disclosure (OD) requirements under the Aged Care Quality Standards (1, 3, 6 and 8). This training session will assist you to do that.

ACHS has a deep understanding of best practice and our interactive training session will assist you in becoming proficient in expertly managing OD. We will demonstrate how to build a productive relationship with clients and their families when they have issues of concern.

This training will include a relevant case study to teach key principles and will include a video role play to demonstrate best practice in OD. 

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the current framework for OD.

  • Identify barriers to OD and benefits of such actions.
  • Understand how to undertake a ‘good’ evidence-based OD process.
  • Gain insight into the key differences between OD, root cause analysis and quality improvement.
  • Address the improvement and follow up of OD processes.

Cancellation Policy

The ACHS reserves the right to cancel any program.  Full registration will be refunded if a program is cancelled or oversubscribed.

 

IF YOU WISH TO CANCEL *

Cancellations received in writing by ACHS more than 7 days prior to the event will be accepted and all fees refunded less 10% (ex GST) of the total cost of the training. Cancellations received within 7 days of the event will not be refunded, however, transfer of your registration to another person is acceptable.
