Aged Care - Incident Management

ACHS offers this interactive training to support organisations with respect to: the Aged Care Quality Commission Standards (2019), the Serious Incident Response Scheme (April 2021) and further references the effective incident management systems - Best practice guidance (March 2021) published by the Aged Care Quality Commission.

This virtual training session will provide you with an understanding of how to take the next step from framework to practice when it comes to incident management. It will provide you with a clear appreciation of how to carry out an incident investigation and develop recommendations that drive systems improvement for customers of Aged Care Services across Australia.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the incident management obligations and compulsory reporting obligations.
  • Understand how incident management drives quality improvement and customer safety.
  • Gain awareness of different incident review methods, including serious incident event reviews.
  • Develop skills in ‘systems thinking’ and evidence-based solution design.
  • Know how to implement and measure the effectiveness of recommendations to improve service delivery and safety.

Cancellation Policy

The ACHS reserves the right to cancel any program.  Full registration will be refunded if a program is cancelled or oversubscribed.

 

IF YOU WISH TO CANCEL *

Cancellations received in writing by ACHS more than 7 days prior to the event will be accepted and all fees refunded less 10% (ex GST) of the total cost of the training. Cancellations received within 7 days of the event will not be refunded, however, transfer of your registration to another person is acceptable.
