We have a new logo - but our focus on quality and safety in healthcare remains.
ACHS continues to evolve and adapt in a changing environment. ACHS has re-branded with a new logo to reflect a new era and a contemporary look to match our position as Australia’s leading hospital and healthcare accreditation organisation.
As a Council representing a broad range of healthcare associations, clinical colleges and societies and consumers and other diverse members, ACHS continues to reflect the current nature of quality and safety in healthcare for a dynamic, ever-changing industry.
Our acronym stays the same
The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) has a long, proud history over 46 years as Australia’s first healthcare organisation to introduce healthcare standards, as both the developer of standards and an accreditating agency. We are widely known as ‘ACHS’ and both our full name and acronym remains the same.
As the pre-eminent healthcare assessment organisation and as a not-for-profit, we support our members primarily through our high-level customer service. We also offer support to members through a range of education services, as well as our one-of-a-kind Clinical Indicator Program, now in its 31st year. Our popular Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program (EQuIP) continues here and in 17 countries overseas.
Our role as a leader continues
ACHS will continue to play a lead role in serving our members during these challenging times.
While our branding look has changed, our promise to deliver valued services through our dedicated customer service remains, to support our members’ efforts.
Our transition to using our new logo commences from today and will be seen on all branded materials over time.
The inspiration for the new logo is taken from who we are: as a Council, we represent different bodies, and our primary concern is our members. The Council has representation from across healthcare, represented by the circles as the ‘corners’ coming together to meet. Our primary focus is on our members and assisting them through their continuous quality and safety journey – also represented in the four circles.
