Accreditation for General Practices (AAGP)

As Australia’s longest-running healthcare accreditation organisation, we are able to offer accreditation services to general practices through our ACHS Accreditation for General Practices (AAGP) program.

Currently, we assess general practices against the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Standards, 5th Edition. These standards were developed to protect patients from harm and to improve the quality and safety of health services in Australia.

General practice accreditation is voluntary in Australia. However, it is a requirement for general practices that want to access financial incentives via the Department of Health’s Practice Incentive Program and Workforce Incentive Program.
