Short Notice Assessment (SNA) is now an established part of accreditation for all Australian hospitals and day procedure services. ACHS is here to support health service organisations to maintain continuous compliance, improve safety and quality systems, and embed a culture of ongoing improvement.
Understanding Short Notice Assessment
Mandatory short notice assessments against the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards were introduced in July 2023. The move to short notice assessments is designed to ensure that assessment outcomes accurately reflect everyday practice, highlight gaps, and support health service organisations in strengthening their safety and quality systems and processes.
If you want to learn how you can better prepare for Short Notice Assessments, the ACHS Improvement Academy run ‘Understanding Short Notice Assessment’ Training.
