National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards

ACHS is a Commission-approved accrediting agency for the NSQHS Standards (including the Multi-Purpose Services Aged Care Module).

The NSQHS Standards were developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) in collaboration with the Australian Government, states and territories, the private sector, clinical experts, patients and carers. Assessment to the NSQHS Standards commenced in 2013 and assessment to the NSQHS Standards second edition commenced in January 2019. All hospitals, day procedure services and public dental services across Australia are required to be accredited to the NSQHS Standards.
