The ACHS Quality Improvement (QI) Awards 2026 are a valuable opportunity to bring your improvement work into focus and showcase its impact across Australia. Now in its 29th year, the QI Awards celebrate the healthcare teams across a variety of disciplines, who are challenging the status quo, driving innovation, and delivering meaningful improvements in safety, patient experience, and quality of care.

Award Categories
Submissions are welcomed across three key areas of improvement:
- Clinical Excellence and Patient Safety - For initiatives that enhance the safety, quality and effectiveness of care, with clear evidence of improvement.
- Sustainable Healthcare and Service Delivery - For projects that strengthen service delivery across clinical and non-clinical settings, including innovation in sustainability and environmental impact.
- Healthcare Measurement - For initiatives that use data to understand performance, guide action, and demonstrate measurable improvement over time.
Who is eligible to enter?
- Entry is open to all current members of the ACHS Accreditation and Clinical Indicator programs in Australia
- Application must relate to a quality improvement activity that has been implemented within the last two (2) years
- All entrants agree to the publication and distribution of their submission(s) by ACHS
- Projects that have been entered in other awards are eligible to be entered in the ACHS QI Awards 2026
- Organisations outside of Australia are invited to apply for the ACHS International Quality Improvement (QI)
